What about the teams they beat to get to the championship game twice? Win you division full of weaklings, then get REALLY pumped 4-5 games a year. Gonzaga is clearly "next level" in their league, and they have great results against the few "next level" teams they play against. What would happen if they step up a league and have to play a tougher schedule, potentially twice a week, for 10-12 weeks straight? Who knows? So when you say tougher schedule, potentially twice a week, for 10-12 weeks straight you aren't talking pac12 right?

The Zag teams being talked about would be 1,2,3 every year in the Pac12 and tourney bound. The talent level, scheme, coaching would be to tier in the Pac12. Ridiculous to think otherwise.

I don’t think it’s “ridiculous” at all. They don’t face the same talent, speed or size that PAC teams face TWICE a week, for weeks and weeks. I DO believe they would be in the upper half of the PAC, no question. Mentally and physically they aren’t “tested” to the extent that members of the PAC 12 are, week in and week out. It takes a toll. MY opinion, of course.
