Cedillo back in for Kasper. Turley remains out. I'll be in and out and can't do PBP

1-0 Cal on HR. Kmatz has that tendency (leading staff for 2nd year in a row)

Could someone please remember to turn the audio up on the livestream after the commercial breaks. Went the last inning with silence from Mike Parker.

Kmatz heating up. Beavs not doing much at the plate but forcing lots of pitches. 46 pitches by their starter in 2 innings.

Thru 11+ innings this is the worst looking Cal team I've seen. I've been to the last (6) series between these two teams and Cal lacks any consistent offensive threats... (1) guy over .300, (3) starters under .200. At least today's pitcher has some decent stuff and an ERA under 5.00 starting his appearance compared to what Cal put on the mound yesterday. Yesterday's staff for Cal was just bad for a Pac12 caliber team.
OSU was walked far too often yesterday to only summon 5 runs and 7 hits. After watching so far, a sweep of this Cal team should be automatic, but... it is baseball. I'm sure as the pen comes into play OSU will grind and get a win. But, I'm hoping to see some life of a team actually getting better to face better Pac12 teams and not slogging along playing to the level of the competition.
Go Beavs

Kmatz with 4 straight K and 6 total through 4. He's starting to punk some of these guys and keeping it low in the zone.

Really? That was outside the base path? BS call I had to read up. There's that double line thing Infront of first and they have to be in that box in the second half of their scamper to first. Talt was on the infield side the whole time so technically correct. Stupid though

Well... you don't often see two picks in a row. That's a bit of a rally killer for a team who hits .228 on the season (.221 in Pac12 play).
Time for the team hitting 80 points below their season average in Pac12 play to start showing up!

Really? That was outside the base path? BS call Parker corrected himself. Interference with the first baseman. I need to see it again. I was watching the base path.

A batter/runner has 45' to get his arse back in that lane. There is no excuse not to. It is just another one of many dumb baserunning mistakes this team has made.

Yes, that’s been the rule forever, but the base is also inside the path, so at some point, you need to leave the path to touch the base. Talt, however, ran inside the path the whole way.
