Steele is a tough kid...NJCAA national champ - I think he was 2nd his freshman year - I am guessing he will redshirt. He wrestled Olguin tough last season in a 7-4 match.

Yeah, it seems there are two sitting out there waiting to be announced.... Not a prediction, but I would like to see Joey Cruz come out to Corvallis.

So an interesting development. Yesterday Logan Saldate committed to the OSU Football team. If memory serves correct., his older brother Chase is at MSU and came out of the DC pipeline in CA. DC, CP and Munoz are all super close from Cowboys days. Could lead to nothing but I just found it interesting Logan highlighted being close to home so family could watch. Maybe we see Chase in Orange and Black in the future.

So an interesting development. Yesterday Logan Saldate committed to the OSU Football team. If memory serves correct., his older brother Chase is at MSU and came out of the DC pipeline in CA. DC, CP and Munoz are all super close from Cowboys days. Could lead to nothing but I just found it interesting Logan highlighted being close to home so family could watch. Maybe we see Chase in Orange and Black in the future. That would be interesting... Chase wasn't in the portal for this year (last I checked) , but he could be next year as a grad transfer. Is he related to Antonio that wrestles for Cal Baptist? He is in the portal. Another interesting name to watch out for is Maximo Renteria... former 3x champ out of Clovis in California. Has had a rough go at Illinois and is in the portal. Has a bad record but when you look at who he has faced I believe he had 8 losses to top 10 guys.... one of them was a 3-2 loss to Ramos. The kid can scrap and I think he would be a nice fit in Corvallis to train with Kaylor and Coyle. |

I think Maximo would be a huge pick up. As of now I believe Belton, Meinzen and Kuenzi are only confirmed departures. I imagine there will be more. Curious to see who will step up from the past couple classes. Noah T seemed to get quite a few opportunities this year. I am rooting for Anderson from Washington to make his mark. Any predictions for a young gun on the rise? |

Brett Mower with a commitment announcement on IG Juco National Champion, wrestled for Iowa Western. Looks like he has 2 seasons, not sure about RS?
The Eggers article mentioned Jackson McKinney coming back and competing for 197. Looks like these two and some underclassmen to hold down the 197 spot. We shall see.
