another WNIT note , sneaking in here... UW just beat U of zero 63 - 59 in the round of 8. I'm still smiling, now we wait for the likely exodus from down south. And yet they finished higher than us when they should not have. I would rather have them keep what they got instead of upgrading even further.
Crickets when is comes to the portal and we even have a jump on it.

Plus they have three Top 70 players signed. Seems teams have fared the so called "exodus" of players better than OSU?! Pac12 has (5) of the top 20 recruiting classes: 3. Arizona 7. Stanford 10. USC 16. Washington 18. Oregon And, SC the. #1 overall recruit. And, if those teams attract top recruits, they will also probably attract top level portal players. Not like most of the Pac12 teams above OSU are slipping.

Iowa is handling Louisville, up 19 after the third. Really does show what can happen if you have the same starters for 3 years. Clark is a handful, does everything.

Why shouldn’t they have finished higher than us? Their freshman class was ranked higher and they had two returnees who were significantly better than any of our guards this season. They started the season ranked and were picked to finish higher in the Pac-12 polls, so I’m curious as to why you would favor OSU’s talent over Oregon’s. Staff doesn’t seem to follow transfer targets much on social media - so it’s no surprise that there’s crickets on that end.

Iowa thanks down Louisville 97 - 83.
Clark had a 41 point triple double, first ever.

Va Yech v OSU should be a barn burner. I’m just glad Mulkey didn’t have plumes yesterday, but dear Lord, who’s in charge of her wardrobe? She’s like Cher and Liberace on steroids!

2 of OSU WBB losses were to Final 4 Teams. And if you factor in Sweet 16 Teams, OSU had 3 losses (UCLA, Colorado, Utah) and loss to Duke who made it to the Final 32. I'm sure the team is believing they can play with anyone next season.

I hope Clark has a Steph Curry effect on the women's game, as she really forces extending defenses and opens up the floor. Even her turnovers are fun to watch; they are effectively missed-shots because they generally with lead to an easy-two if delivered, or they go out of bounds and allows the defense to reset - those can be lived with at a 50/50 - 2/1 assist to TO ration needn't apply to those. She doesn't quite have the quick handles of a Van Lith, but still super effective off the dribble as well. I believe both Adele and Lily have the form to be efficient from 5' beyond the arch, and TvO had that her first year as well; OSU's inside-out game would be super dynamic if those three get comfortable and effective from deep.

CC is also fond of complaining about calls in front of officials. This seems to be a lot more prevalent this year and not just in the tournament. There's a more diplomatic way of saying "are you blind?". You see players and coaches who understand this and change the way they interact with officiating. I'm not saying it alters calls, but I believe it does earn respect.

I don’t love all the complaining, but she gets absolutely mugged by defenders, a lot of which doesn’t get called, so hard to blame her. Basically nobody can defend her straight up so teams push into foul trouble agains her as a slow-down strategy. I actually believe the attention she brings against grabby/body-up defenders is good for OSU’s style of play.

You more or less are indicating that recruiting has been a struggle lately. How do you fix that?

SC wins 86-75. Now they play Iowa! Yes, I think that I can fit that into my viewing schedule!
