OK. Got it. I was unsure whether you were a troll or an idiot. Silly me, I'd forgotten that one could be both. I won't waste any more time.

Andersen after the game: "Either we're not coaching them right, or they refuse to learn."
Sounds like a bus running over some players.
Did you have to look up troll? Idiot? Just wondering

I don't understand the impulse to bash somebody for posting criticisms that are based on very valid observations.
This offense is a complete and utter mess, and it doesn't have to be that way. We have talent and experience on this offensive unit, and you shouldn't need more than a mediocre QB to get more than 2 freaking wins or even score a single gawddamn field goal against a porous UCLA defense that gave up 35 to freaking Colorado.
I'm not upset about the losses; It's HOW we are losing. I'm tired of looking up at the scoreboard at halftime and seeing less than 150 yards of total offense...AGAIN. We have not seen an offense this inept since the 1980s, and these guys give those teams a serious run for their money. And we have WAAAAAAYYYYY better players than those past teams, so I think leveling some criticism on the offensive coaching staff is perfectly justified here.
The playcalling was abysmal today, as it has been for much of the season. How anybody can deny that is beyond me.
When I think about our offense this year, one word keeps coming up: Random. Our scheme seems randomly selected. Our personnel choices seem random. Our playcalling seems random. I see no rhyme or reason, it's like throwing darts at a dartboard.
The biggest thing that concerns me with Andersen is that he completely cedes the offense to his OC. He has admitted in interviews that when he steps in on offensive meetings, it's all greek to him; so he couldn't contribute to fixing the problems even if he wanted to. At a fundamental level, I have serious doubts that a head coach can be successful in the Pac-12 without having _some_ input on the offensive system. This conference is ALL about offensive creativity; we can't afford to wait while our head coach gets a lesson in Offense 101, and hopes he hires a hot-shot OC in the meantime.
Am I saying that Andersen should be fired? Of course not. But I do know that I have absolutely zero hope of winning another game this year, and I have zero hope of having any kind of success next year. When I reach that "zero hope" threshold, that's when I stay home, and I decided on the drive home today I'm sitting out next year on season tickets (to be fair, there are other factors as well that have had me considering this for a while; not the least of which is a 2-year-old son that I would have much rather been home playing with today).
I think Andersen is capable of turning this thing around, but I cannot say with much certainty that he actually will. And if it does happen I think it will take a while. We are SOOOO far away from the next worst team in this conference, it's not even funny. We truly are in a class by ourselves right now...
I'll be back on board when I see some hope on the horizon. Right now, it's on the other end of the world and completely out of my sight....
GO BEAVS!

Hmmmm... Jimbeav must be an idiot troll also. Having no connections, and since he has no D1 college coaching experience (sorry Jim, making the assumption here) should be ashamed to question decisions of any coach at that level.
I guess we both (along with others in other threads), missed the rule that states that those fans who love and support (financially and butt in seat) their school must only post passively positive comments; always agree with everyone else's opinions, have had D1 coaching experience, and basically think alike.

I wonder if these "how dare you question our coach....respect the process" people were the same ones criticizing Riley on play calling and personnel decisions. There's very little room for dissenting opinions in a mob.

Right now, it's on the other end of the world and completely out of my sight.... GO BEAVS! I don't think this offense has as much talent as everyone insists on believing. Based on what I've seen of the rest of the conference, I would rate our talent about even with Colorado and our execution at a lot worse. We do have enough talent to muster more offense than we are. Assuming our execution improves to acceptable, we still lose games but don't look as ridiculous doing so. I agree with you on the playcalling. Early on, I noticed they were not building on the things Collins did well--and were exposing his shortcomings by trying to make him do things he did not do well. I passed it off as experimentation. But it hasn't changed. One thing that has struck me in interviews with both Andersen and Baldwin (I think Andersen has more hand in our offense than you believe BTW) is their statements that we cannot simply line up and and sustain long drives, that we need big plays. This could explain the harum scarum play calling. I suspect the basis for that assumption is their lack of faith in our talent and consistency, in their fear that eventually we will either shoot ourselves in the foot with stupid penalties or will get put into a down and distance situation where we simply get out muscled. I would be curious to know what Crowton makes of this. Frankly, I wish I had more confidence in Baldwin. I hate trying to play football this way.

Baldwin seems lost. Ran two great full back led running plays for 20+ . Never see it again. His offense has no rhythm it seems. I have no clue what we are offensively since it changes play to play. Seriously so many substitutions. I know his CSU team sucked them really picked it up.
Other thing I am interested in is Kerry Eggers saying their is division , some people saying 10 non seniors may leave. Reminds me ofthe early Mike Leach teams.

Storm over 6 ypc. Nall 4 1/2 ypc. Mitchell inaccurate from the start followed by horrible decisions and bad throws. You decide.

And... by the way, Andersen had not "proven" anything here, nor at Wisky as little (almost none) of those key players were "his". In fact, I believe his qb there is now a TE? Ya Ya... different type of system. But, Mitchell is now our starting qb? Lol If you want to count Utah State... yikes, we'd have 4-5 wins with this team playing that schedule. You're like a 4 year old having a tantrum when you don't get instant gratification. Your posts have virtually all oozed negativity or insinuated bad things about GA and staff from the start, except for the one disingenuous, "I fully support the staff" post that obviously has been trumped by another tantrum.
Also, "pure message board gold" in the hypocrisy category is your reply to Tony on this thread that starts with "Tony, Tony, Tony..." and proceeds to chide him for condescension. It's demonstrative of your cognitive dissonance, that you would see no irony in that post. LOL.
