Arizona state could shoot blindfolded and hit the shot. Another $338,000 or so in the bank. Ca-ching!

Arizona State wins and plays TCU in Denver. The winner of that plays the Gonzaga-Grand Canyon winner. If Arizona State wins twice, they get to play twice at T-Mobile Arena, site of the Pac-12 Tournament. Not a bad schedule. UCLA plays UNC Asheville in Sacramento and then gets the Boise State-Northwestern winner with a win. UCLA and Arizona State would meet in the Sweet Sixteen at T-Mobile Arena, if they both win two more. That's a pretty good landing spot for both teams.
Arizona gets Princeton and then the Missouri-Utah State winner in Sacramento. If they win those two, they would play in Louisville.
USC plays Michigan State in Columbus. The winner of that gets the Marquette-Vermont winner. If USC wins two, they play the Sweet Sixteen and Elite Eight at Madison Square Garden.
In the NIT, Wazzu got the Big Sky Champion Eastern Washington less than 70 miles from Cheney. The Cougs seemed to have that game in hand but Couged it at the end.
Oregon beat UC Irvine by 26 and hosts Central Florida next. The Ducks would host the winner of Liberty-Wisconsin with a win.
Colorado beat Seton Hall by a point in an entertaining game. Because Hofstra upset Rutgers and Utah Valley upset New Mexico, the Buffaloes host the next two games, if they keep winning. Colorado gets Utah Valley first and then would play the Cincinnati-Hofstra winner.
If the Buffaloes and/or Ducks win two, they will be off to Orleans Arena (where the WAC and West Coast Conference play their Tournaments). Colorado and Oregon are on opposite sides of the bracket and would play in the NIT Championship Game, if both teams win three straight.

UCLA beats UNC Asheville by 33 and plays Northwestern in Sactown. Arizona loses to Princeton by 4. The Mildcats become the first team ever to lose twice as a 2-seed against a 15-seed. Princeton pulls off its biggest upset ever in the Tourney and first win as an underdog since 1996.

In other news, three Oregon State nonconference opponents were given berths in postseason play: Duke, Florida, and A&M.
Orlando started off chaotically with Furman's win over Virginia. But 2023 opponent Duke beat Oral Roberts by 23 and 2021 opponent Tennessee edged Louisiana by three in the final two games to set up a second round game with each other on Saturday. The winner gets to play at Madison Square Garden in the Sweet Sixteen.
Florida lost to Central Florida to set up the Knights' trip to Eugene on Sunday.
A&M lost to red hot Penn State. The Lions have now won 9 of the past 11, including three in Chicago and a two-point loss to Big Ten Champion, Purdue. And Penn State's bruising win over Furman earlier in the year is starting to look better. Penn State gets Texas in Des Moines on Saturday with a trip to Kansas City and the Sweet Sixteen on the line.

Penn State's best player is a transfer from Siena. There are some great players at the mid-major level.

Penn State's best player is a transfer from Siena. There are some great players at the mid-major level. Yeah, he’s a load. And to your point, there are plenty of players from smaller schools who can be important contributors and stars transferring into P6 schools. In fact if you’re out of the top say 250 HS recruits, one might be better served to go to a small or mid-major school and get minutes rather than go to P6 school and spend a bunch of time on the bench.

Tennessee beats Duke 65-52 to advance to Madison Square Garden and the Sweet Sixteen. Four of the five Vols starters played against Oregon State in the 2021 Tourney. Of the starters, only Jahmai Mashack was not on the team back in 2021. Oklahoma State beat Youngstown State to set up the game against Eastern Washington in Stillwater on Sunday in the NIT. I believe that the only player still playing for the Cowboys from back in 2021 is Kalib Boone.

28-23 San Diego State at the half. If the Aztecs beat the Tide, the Pac-12 should invite San Diego State to begin play next year.
Five of six of the guys (Mark, Sasser, Shead, Roberts, and Chaney) that Houston has used so far against Miami were guys that played in the Tourney in 2021. Sasser and Chaney started against Oregon State, and Mark was the second guy off the bench. The only guy, who is new since 2021 is freshman Jarace Walker.

Big Ten and SEC combine for 16 bids. And exactly zero teams in the Elite Eight. A bunch of garbage, as usual!
