Interesting. All I know is that the PAC needs to stay together or I'm afraid OSU is MWC bound. Unfortunately, OSU is toward any P5 conference's list as schools to add.

OSU's only trump card in this whole fiasco is that it can blow the entire thing up. If OSU strikes a deal with the Big12 then the Pac-12 house of cards falls. Oregon and Washington bolt to the Big10 (Maybe with Stanford and Cal). It would be a bonus for WSU to come along with OSU because that could keep the Pacific North West rivalry's in tact, although it would be across conferences. I agree with this guy. I don't think the Pac-12 Media Deal will beat the Big12. I don't think it is as low as he says but I would say $26-$28 million (if split evenly). Less than the Big12 but not enough of a difference for most schools to depart. However, Oregon and Washington are looking at it as a negative $10 million vs. what they could get from the Big10. OSU has nothing to gain by staying with the Pac-12 and everything to lose when the The Pac-12 collapses. Barnes should get us a deal and start the ball rolling. There is no honor among the schools anymore. We saw that with USC and UCLA.

Big 12 wouldn't be a win for us. We would probably have to ditch sports just to keep the athletic department alive with all the new traveling costs. That and our road schedule would be brutal. Better off being a lord of the MWC than a struggling nobody in the BIG12

Better off being a lord of the MWC than a struggling nobody in the BIG12 The only reason OSU would be lord of the MWC right now is that it is a member of the Pac-12 and that allows for generally much better recruiting opportunities as well as being a more attractive landing place for coaches and more beneficial financially. Without those advantages, the Beavers could wind up as a lower tier MWC school athletically after a few years.

Or we dominate for those years and become very relevant due to autobid mania in loads of sports. Anything except a decent P12 media deal is a loser for us.

Another possibility to consider is that many coaches might have to immediately go into rebuild mode if OSU went to the MWC. I'm just not sure a lot of the players would choose anything but the transfer portal at that point.

Since it's all about the money now, might as well get going where we can best thrive. Because of the distance, I don't want to be in the same conference as West Virginia and UCF. If the Pac 10 dies I would far rather be in the MWC if money were no factor. But it is. The marketplace is killing us.

I believe that Greg Swaim, who is the basis for the YouTube video, is an Oklahoma State guy.
The Pac-12 people that I have heard from are still talking about more than 50% more than the numbers that the guy in the video is saying.
The Big 12 media seems to be in overdrive to sink the Pac-12.

Yeah...I'm interested to see how this all shakes out. If we listen to the Big 12 media, the Pac 12 will soon be toast.
