The ump has been suspended. Justifiably so. I mean I get that the batter was way out of line for showing him up (and we don't know what prior history might exist between these 2) but still. You don't knowingly call that pitch a strike. If you want to run a player - run him. Don't demolish your professional credibility trying to prove some point. |

The catcher was a bit of a hero there. He glanced and saw that something very bad might be about to happen and immediately went to calm it down. He could have glanced and kept walking away, not my business, but he went and helped.
