They will be entering and exiting the portal quickly these next few weeks. Meg Newman chooses Alabama.

Exactly sparty. Destinee Wells from Belmont almost instantly announced she was going to Tennessee. This on the heels of the Belmont coach saying several teams that were still in the Tourney at that point were contacting his players (ie tampering). Something smells fishy in Denmark. I always figured that kind of stuff was happening. Maybe some other coaches will start speaking up about it.

Sure in the hell happening in football so why not in WBB? Don’t know about Belmont instance though. I do think other players contact other players for coaches. Might say to do some fishing.

I always figured that kind of stuff was happening. Maybe some other coaches will start speaking up about it. The issue is that "tampering" as some would call it can never be stopped. Coaches and their staff do not have to do a thing in terms of connecting with players. Players can connect with other players, families can connect to let it be known there is a spot for them. Many of the upper level players know each other or know of each other from AAU circuits, camps, etc. Once in the portal the player can then connect with the school/coach... or any school/coach. There is no way to police player to player, family to family "conversations". The only systematic way to control the issue is have strict limits and penalties after the first transfer. Transfer, but make sure that is where you want to finish you career. On a much smaller scale the same thing happens all the time in the private to public high school recruiting debate. Coaches do not have to do a thing. Kids will help persuade other kids to help their program out. Plus AUU/summer coaches not directly affiliated with any school or the OSAA have a lot of influence/connections to players.

I think the real question is what connection the player has to Rueck, and not whether we think the program would benefit from them. Mack is the only exception to having been recruited by Rueck previously, and she couldn't continue at her school and Rueck does know her coach.
So unless they are a graduate transfer or Rueck recruited them in high school/known them long time, I don't see any evidence that SR's going to go after them.

She had really sound stats for only 10mpg, which includes a good shooting percentage. Had a great High School career in Utah. We'll see what Utah does for replacements, but she looked to have a nice career ahead of her.

Jayda Curry to Louisville. Gives them another scoring threat to pair with Van Lith. I don't really like to see talented players leave the West Coast.

Chatzileonti may be of interest to OSU: Solid 6-3 forward.
