We should be winning at the break. And Pope got fouled on the last play too. Ridiculous. We have enough to overcome without lousy officiating. We were up at the half of both losses to asu this season, I believe, so maybe they’re trying something different this time. |

Clean up the defensive glass and swap out the officials and we win this game. I HATE saying officiating dictates outcomes of games, but those were a clear and obvious 4 points that should have gone the other way. Andela picks up a foul running down the court after the first missed goaltend as well, and then the offensive goaltend happens on a foul that led to free throws only because of the extra foul Andela should not have picked up.
Anyway, rant over. Win the 2nd half and win the f@#$ing game.

Well the team up at half has won the last two games in the series, so Oregon State pretty much has this one in the bag.
Oregon State is doing a great job of slowing down Arizona State. With a different set of zebras, Oregon State is up by at least two scores.

OSU should be up 28-27 not down 29-26. They lose this by 2-3 points then those miss calls loom large. |

You know we would have finished first this year but those freaking refs. This is the worst-called game since the Corvallis game against Arizona State. That phantom call that gave Bilodeau five personals and the jump ball that was called a foul. I can't say much about the two months between, but the refs generally seem to favor Arizona State for some reason. And I really dislike the Devils. |

Being a ref is harder than most people think. Everyone should take a shot at it. That I will agree with you on. Basketball IMO is also one of, if not the hardest sport to officiate. But that's why it's frustrating when black and white calls are missed like the two goaltend calls. There's a lot of subjectivity to foul calls that can go either way when both guys are fighting for position or the ball, but there's others that just can't be missed at the power 5 level of basketball. |
