I wonder if that has anything to do with Colorado State potentially being invited into the conference or maybe both into the Big 12? Or maybe one of the other targets? There's nothing like that in Arizona or Utah that I can find.

www.latimes.com/sports/story/2023-03-07/pac-12-really-dying-five-thingsProbably the best read on Pac 12s current situation I have come across. In essence, USC took out the biggest dragon dildo it could find and royally screwed over the Pac 12...twice. To the tune of 200M dollars in media revenue. It also implies any expansion effort by Pac 12 is fueled by the risk of losing more members...and specifically refering to Arizona (a hoops school) and Colorado to Big 12. I f%#*ing hate USC. I hope it gets crushed seperternally by schools I have always hated more (tOSU, hole, Bama, ND, etc.)

Brady McCollough, who couldn't hack it as an actual journalist and, so, spent five years postgraduate settling into sports work at, you guessed it, Kansas University. Hack, hack, hack, hack, hack. Talk up Kansas and the Big 12 all you want, Brady, you're still and will always be a dufus and a complete hack. Have fun continuing to settle! Please no more posting drivel from dopes without two brain cells to rub together! Brady makes Dennis Dodd look like a genius.

Yet he echos many of your same sentiments you've posted on this board Yes, but the difference between him and me is that he wants to be right, and I want to be wrong. He wants UCLA and USC to placidly dissolve into the Big Ten and for the Big 12 to thrive. I want neither. Brady is Big Brother. The unadulterated voice of Big Ten and Big 12 propaganda pure and simple. I have my doubts, but I want George K. to pull one out of the fire here.

Yeah...none of your own projection is expressed in this article. It literally spells it out the Pac 12 sitch exactly as its transpired and gives reasonable insight into what lies ahead for the Pac 12. He slights USC for leaving (money grab). the damage it caused, why they did it, and where that leaves the Pac 12. He even pisses on Hole and UW as afterthoughts and not worthy of the BiG Unbiased, great reporting. Beaver fans on the other hand....

He starts off with some reporting, he lays out the media rights deal from the perspective of a media insider. At least he claims to have a source on that. Where he loses me is when he says that the MWC can fill the 'after dark' time slot just as well...no. No one is staying up to watch a MWC game. That is a pure media side negotiating point that has no validity. Huge credibility drop for even repeating it. Then when he gets to the meat of realignment talk, what will UW,uo and the four corners schools do, he lists no insider sources that he has spoken to. zero. Not even an ananomous insider. He is just winging it. When he gets to Colorado 'having buyers remorse' that is when you know he is just talking out his butt. When Colorado was in the big 12, they were there with Nebraska, Missouri, Texas, Oklahoma, and Texas A&M. How can you have 'buyers remorse' about leaving a conference that no longer has those teams? Colorado may go back to the big 12, but it for sure won't be because of 'buyers remorse'. Just another big credibility fail. To have great reporting on this issue, you have to have great sources inside the institutions, he clearly doesn't, or at least he doesn't have any that are willing to talk to him at this point.

Perhaps Deion has approached them about buying the football program on a quirky NIL deal.

Oh geez here we go. He literally states "two-well placed sources in the media industry" to start the same section you are whining about. Funny that myopic Beaver fans scoffs at the MWC and somehow thinks people on the east coast are staying up late to watch Washington State/Cal or Oregon State/Arizona. Boise State is a bigger draw than all 4 of those schools! His comment about Colorado literally starts with "If", clearly he is speculating...or not, you certainly don't know either way. Everything you've written here screams butthurt Pac 12/Beaver fan. I can't take you guys remotely serious anymore because of your absolute inability to accept where the Pac 12 is in the grand scheme of Big Dollar Football and OSU's limited role in it. We've reached the point that when certain people read things they disagree with or simply don't like from actual sports reporters, immediate it goes to FAKE NEWS! HACK! Wonder how we got here. I sure don't want the Pac 12 to fold or OSU to end up in the MWC, but it's really obvious things are dire at this point. If the Pac 12 can get even a short-term deal then that's great news, because who knows what happens 5 years down the line. So if I gotta weigh my options on who has the best info0..Sportswriter for the LA Times (5th largest in US and by the largest on west coast) Neiman Fellow at Harvard, 12-time top 10 winner for AP Sports Editor or Beaver fan on the fan board...yeahhhhhh probably not you. Read the tea leaves and don't let it hurt your feelings. Posting on fan boards doesn't even qualify on as a blogger. Perhaps ALL the writers who keep hurting your feelings saying things you hate hearing are a bit less biased than you, with a bit better perspective, and certainly with better sources.
