Throw in Bazzana at second. Those would be the six constant faces, the rest depends on who is the opposite pitcher. I like Forrester at 3rd, Kane at short, TB at 2nd and a platoon of Kasper and Krieg at first. Outfield of MM, Turley and Cedillo. Smitty behind the plate. Now find some front line pitchers Definitely maximising the offense in the Infield yet keeps a good defending OF. Tanner, Kane, Bazzana and Reuben is your Pat Casey heart of the defense.

Smith is really on a tear. Almost has his average to .300 after dropping to almost .200.
Of our regulars Dernedde and Smith are the only ones under 300.

I'll be away for the first game, but I hope to be back for the start of the second game tomorrow.

Would like to see McDowells catches and homer.....his defense saved this one. I believe he made two tough catches with two outs and bases loaded. Also, I think his homer broke a 2-2 tie?

Im liking this team. As the competition improves we will need better starting pitching Yea, Sellers continues to throw too many pitches. If he's gonna continue to be the Friday guy, he is going to need to clean it up. His outings aren't gonna get any easier.

What he needs to do is throw more of them for strikes, and to get some early contact for outs, to go deeper into the game. Which is what you meant anyways.

Maybe Wilky can help out here, but I sure can’t remember ever seeing all four infield defenders get changed or switched elsewhere to start a new inning as happened in the 6th. That was pretty interesting.

That was pretty interesting. Only the four infielders? Nebraska Game #3 February 23, 2019: To start the seventh: P Jake Pfennigs C Adley Rutschman 1B Zak Taylor 2B Andy Armstrong 3B George Mendazona SS Beau Philp LF Joe Casey CF Preston Jones RF Kyler McMahan DH Alex McGarry
To start the eighth: P Jake Pfennigs C Troy Claunch 1B Ryan Ober 2B George Mendazona 3B Matthew Gretler SS Andy Armstrong LF Joe Casey CF Kyler McMahan RF Greg Fuchs DH Zach Zalesky
For those playing at home, five substitutions were made and three other players changed positions. Only Pfennigs and Casey stood pat.

Good research there Wilky! I was at that game too. Not that I would've remembered anyway, but when all those bench clearing changes were made after the seventh, we already led 13-1, and I had exited Surprise Stadium for the friendly confines of the tailgater. Tonight's changes seemed a bit more interesting in what was a one run game at the time.
But hey, Beavs win so ale's well! Good Life Sweet As during, and Pliny for the Win!

Of course that is what I meant. Short outings by your friday guy cause you to dig into your pen early in a series.....not ideal.... especially when we get Furd, UCLA, etc...

Abel's short start in the opener of the TCU Regional two years ago hurt us and caught up to us in the final innings of the loss to DBU, when we ran out of pitching.
