Promise Taylor, a 6'5" volleyball/basketball player with significant upside, is a Class of 2017 center who is giving plenty of consideration to Oregon State. Taylor has touched as high as 10'11". She is measured touching 10'8" in one of the volleyball videos shown below. After originally considering trying to do both sports at the collegiate level, Taylor appears to now be leaning towards playing basketball at the Division 1 level. She has visited Corvallis during the past year on at least an unofficial visit.
Taylor started her high school basketball career as a freshman at Skyline HS in Sammamish, Washington. She transferred to Sammamish HS in Bellevue beginning with her sophomore season. As a sophomore in '14-'15, Taylor averaged 12.0 points, 9.6, rebounds, and 4.0 blocked shots per game in leading her squad to a state tournament berth.
