In woman's college basketball last season on average 3.5 players transferred out per team. A player transferring out is not necessarily a negative. There are many teams who improve using the transfer portal. I doubt if SR is even certain exactly what the roster will look like next season.

Thank you for your insightful and accurate post.
You state "They are the rare exception" to my statement that the Zags have not lost anyone to the transfer portal. You are correct sir!
I would counter by stating that the amount and quality of players Oregon State lost to the portal last year was also "a rare exception" unfortunately in a different direction!
Go Beavs!
USC has lost just as much, if not more, talent than we have over the past 3-4 years, between grad transfers and the portal. Oregon has also lost a staggering number of top-level recruits. I do not follow WBB close enough to know what happens at most schools, but I do know Maryland has also lost gobs of talent, as did Syracuse, which lost almost its entire team one year. And which player that we lost from last year has gone on to stardom elsewhere? They all seem to be performing at the level they did at OSU, or even worse, and one is having trouble staying healthy, just as happened here with regularity. Henry Skrimshander
Well as I read your response, I yield to your viewpoint and stand corrected.
As far as what the result for OSU for this year would have been had they performed at last year's level, who knows.
However, it does seem like at least two of the players (Brown and Jones) had not made the kind of significant improvement that many players in the past have made between season (Jones probably gets a pass on that due to her injury situation)
Go Beavs!

Don't forget Brown tore her acl and missed a season.
