I am going to stop seeking out news stories about the potential Pac 12 media deal. The latest story is that ION television is emerging as the latest potential partner.

You know, I wonder how often smaller outlets have made inquiries about acquiring the B1G or SEC and it never gets reported. Feels like maybe this is one of those things where McMurphy could poke a little fun at the Pac-12 by reporting something that has no chance of actually happening just to reinforce the national perception that the sky is falling on the Pac-12. McMurphy also had 6 Pac12 teams in his 2023 preseason top 25, the most of any conference....so there's that too.

But that's the issue...Almost every day we hear about a new potential partner and speculation as to the extent of the deal that new partner will share. I'm burned out from listening to it and think the time has come to turn away. Probably won't, though. My favorite form of entertainment is OSU sports and I can't turn away from news of the Beavers future. I guess my post was just a whine when you break it down. |

How many people truly know what is going on in the negotiations? The people who do truly know aren't talking. A lot of people just speculating imo. I will be glad when the contract is finished.
