I’m addition the defensive woes, a lot due to ASU getting very hot, we lost the game going 4:30 in between buckets in the third. In that time between we had

0-7, and some decent shots, but you have to score to stop the momentum. Hope the youngsters stick with it, but losses like this sting.

Well something has changed amongst some of you. I didn't read anything blaming how young the team is or TVO didn't play. Typically, the "some of you" would be all over that TVO didn't play. But she was not having a typical year shooting the basketball. They were already on their losing streak with her. I would guess most aren't coming out of the woodwork because this one was bad. Real bad. |

If the Beav's had no bad luck they'd have no luck at all. The Beav's are third in the country, in the other team shooting FT's.
The team is so self conscious at the end of games that they just fall apart. Suddenly they start missing everything when they almost were hitting 60% all game. Letting ASU get the rebounds when they'd been winning the rebound battle all game. ASU was hitting shots they were missing in the shoot arounds. The other teams are expecting to win games and so they play loose and easy and everything goes in. They were taking terrible shots that still went in. While OSU was taking good % shots that bounced.
And for all of those "fans" who are so darn gleeful about the Beav's losing streak. There's a whole website for people like you. It's called Volnation and they will be soooo happy to have you join them in spewing hate at their team. But if you want to pretend to be fans of the Beav's you really need to try harder.

It’s beyond strange to see someone who I thought was one of the best coaches in beaver history at any sport to now seem like someone practically stealing money this year. Never ever thought I’d see him seem completely out of his league like this.

Just watched the presser. Rueck looks flummoxed in trying to explain what happened last night, and in other games at Gill where teams come in and have their best performances of the year. Not once does Rueck express or question the OSU coaches. Until the coaching staff question themselves, I don't see any different results in the next 2 games. Rueck needs to think about how to keep the freshmen and sophomores from bolting. That should be his primary concern now.

Mannen played 24 min and only 1 point. Sounds like SR doesn’t care about winning that fans want to see. He is enjoying long term contract.

The Emperor and his courtiers pretend he is wearing clothes because they do not wish to appear foolish; in the end they look more so.
Substitute SR as the emperor saying " I do not need to have a quality point guard, I will take care of all those functions from my position standing at half court" as the illusion, and "coaching staff and athletic director" for the courtiers and you have the essence of the current situation.
In regard to your comment about players bolting you, as usual, are right on target.

That might be the most insulting thing you could post about SR. GA did not "retire". And, SR has not done anything close to what GA did. |
