This is not true for every school. uo WBB players are leaving because of Kelly Graves. Yes, I have first hand knowledge. You never know on here who has a relative on another team. That’s all I will say. Some of the really good players didn't seem to have a problem with Graves...atleast enough to get into the portal. I know the portal has only been around a few years. Players have different reasons for leaving. If Scott or Graves tells a player that they are deficient in some area and need to work on it,how many top high school players have been told critical aspects of their game? How many don't want to hear that and bail? Prime example, Kennedy Brown did not want to hear her deficiencies mentioned by Coach Rueck and what she needed to work on. Momma did not like the criticism of her daughter either.

Yes, because nothing leads to success like players that don’t want to be here, but staying anyway. If they want to leave, see ya! The coach has to create an environment where players don’t want to leave. Yes, it’s harder with the portal, but that is what is required of a coach in the current environment. Oh, and only Sasquatch has NW immortality. Judge Smails,
You are 1000% correct in your above observation and evaluation of the current situation.
I offer as an example the following.
The Gonzaga women's program has had zero defections to the portal I believe since the portal has begun.
Over and over the sentiment that is expressed by players (from star to those that play very little) is that they know the Coaches care about them as both players and people.
Compare that with what has happened at OSU and it is fair to question the Coaching situation!

Will you stop hating on SR, you're too obvious!

I have heard all the football players get 50k. That’s over $4M/yr. Wouldn’t be surprised if the case, but I’m curious how that would be funded.

I'm out of the loop on NIL money. Maybe someone can help me out....
1. how does the student athlete receive the money? 2. Do they pay tax on it? (is it considered a gift, or is it considered earned revenue?) 3. Does NIL money come to the student in addition to their athletic scholarship? 4. Is NIL money guaranteed from year to year? Or is it a year by year thing? 5. Is there any kind of public record about how much NIL money schools, or teams, or individual players receive?
Thanks.... GO BEAVS!!
