Bendu Noelle Jelena A send off on Saturday! Wish them well. Jelena would be a redshirt junior next year. So does this mean we are losing her?

We only have one senior: Bendu. Yes but Jelena and Noelle have been here for 4 years and Noelle has another year before that. I think Noelle is getting her graduate degree. I really hope they are staying but we won't know what their plans are until the season is over.

Generally those players with eligibility remaining have provided the coaches information on whether they intend to stay or not, so that they can be recognized on senior day. The fact that Jelena and Noelle are part of the ceremony is a pretty good indication that they are not playing for OSU next season.

Love those girls but, I would like to see an extra couple spots open to pick up portal players.

Thanks for posting. Noelle has always had that huge smile. It is great to hear her be so positive about her time at Oregon State. We've heard a lot of negativity from posters, it's good to hear the positive side from players.

I've seen several times people comment negatively about the "family atmosphere" at OSU. All based off of how all programs claim this. I think OSU is oddly different from other schools. I follow on social media former players and they all keep up with each other, even after graduation they meet up and hang out as well as on social media. The odd thing is that even players who transferred from other teams pretty much just follow OSU stuff and players, not their previous teams. The other odd thing is that I've never seen anything from any of them about SR, good or bad. Other teams former players chatter about former coaches, good and bad, but not OSU. SR keeps talking about seeing himself as a teacher, never mentions being a friend. I think his players think of him that way also.

I thought she may be the first to leave, mainly because she has already been in college for six years. As for your comments, beaveragain, the only comments I remember were from Jamie Weisner. I don't remember the exact words, but they were comments about SR's hard work and that if anyone would be successful, it would be him. Other than those, I haven't seen comments from former players about him either.

I've heard of head coaches referred to as a coach or a teacher or even a mentor but not usually friend. Assistant coaches maybe. A head coach has to make tough decisions that players might not like.
I think we are going to be OK with shooting guards as long as we don't lose any more. Donovyn and Kennedie look pretty good, definitely good enough to put in the rotation. Donovyn is very athletic and strong, I've seen some of her games this year and even against the best teams in the state she stands out as the best player on the court. It's post players we really need a couple of to keep Gardner in her natural position. Gardner and Reagan are going to be a nightmare pair to the other teams to defend. Let's hope the portal is good to us this year. It would be really nice to get a natural point guard, if not then we could get by with Martha and point by committee.
