Quote from an article in the Arizona Republic:
"One college insider has come out with an interesting prediction for the Big 12. The writer, CBS Sports' Dennis Dodd, predicts that the conference will add Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado and Utah if the Pac-12 falls apart amid its media rights deal saga.
Of the possibility of the four Pac-12 schools potentially joining the Big 12, Dodd wrote: "Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado and Utah have been Big 12 targets, in some form, since USC and UCLA announced plans last summer to leave fo the Big Ten. That interest has picked up considerably with the Pac-12 appearing even more vulnerable. Yormark wants to have membership in the Pacific Time Zone. That would make the Big 12 the only conference to have members across all four time zones. Adding the Four Corners schools would also make the Big 12 the third conference with 16 members joining the SEC and Big Ten."

Dodd has said that since July....he's just beating a dead horse so he can say he said so if it somehow happens, which there is no sign of. He's so married to it, he might as well keep beating that drum

I read that article and was interested until I realized that it was just Dodd's rehashed opinion. The Republic is garbage by and large. Not The Oregonian awful..............but close.

None of these reports can ever point to anyone associated with any PAC-12 school saying anything positive about a move to the Big 12 (because there is nothing to be gained by doing so).

The four corner schools make sense to move to the Big 12 if --IF-- the Pac 12 falls apart.
But Dennis Dodd...he's been wrong many, many times on many, many subjects. He is the Mel Kiper of sports writers. Just goes to show that having a firm opinion is good enough to turn one into an expert, no matter how wrong and how often.

Oregonian quoted an unnamed report that suggests ESPN, FOX, and CBS are only "lukewarm" to a PAC- 10 media deal but Apple+ might be the best possibility for a streaming package. No mention of Amazon.

Aren't all four of those schools in the Mountain time zone? In real life, yes. However, because you Oregon dopes still do daylight savings time, Arizona is on PDT almost nine months of the year. Daylight Savings Time, the barbeque and golf industry loves it and will push for it with all of the money they have. And religiously-observant Muslims (mostly) and the Jewish will say that it is oppressive nonsense, which messes up their religious rites. But screw those guys, barbeque and golf! Or something........
