10-35 overall and 0-9 from three. How are we this bad on offense this late in the season?

Really like Christian Wright's defense and pressure but 0-4/0-3 is a deal killer. This is what happens.

Just turned on the game to hear Parker saying that Tinkle is complaining about the Beavs not getting a free throw opportunity in the half. It seems like this is typical of Beaver basketball or at least I've heard Parker complain about the disparity in free throws attempts awarded before. Isn't that just because our offense isn't slashing and attacking? Aggressive offensive teams that attack the hoop get to the free throw line a lot. Teams that pass the ball around the perimeter until the shot clock is wound down and hoist up an off balance 3 or long 2 don’t. You decide which scenario describes the Beavs.

Beavs are mounting a comeback. UW in foul trouble, but Beavs missing wide open 3s. Not happening.

That is OK. We will get them in 2025.

For this team to overcome a 13 pt deficit would take an enormous effort and a lot of luck. 1-18 from 3. That’s single digits.

That is OK. We will get them in 2025. We already beat them this year.

Oregon State has not won in Seattle since February 20, 2003. The Beavers have won road games everywhere else in the Pac-12 since, just not in Seattle for whatever reason.

Sure are a lot of top defensive teams in the Pac12.,..when they play us. Washington plays that zone. If you can hit shots from the outside, you can pull them out of that zone. And they don't really have a counterpunch on offense. If you cannot hit shots from the outside, though, you tend to lose. 2/19. That's Oregon State's worst shooting performance from beyond the arc since the game in Tempe last year. You are not going to win many games shooting that poorly from the outside. And that is doubly true for a team, which plays that rigid zone defense. Those two games are the worst shooting games since Oregon State went 0/10 from beyond the arc in the two-point win over California in 2021. The Beavers would hit at least 30% of their shots from beyond the arc in nine of the next 10 games (the loss to Oregon being the exception) en route to the Elite Eight. Oregon State even hit 37.5% in the Elite Eight game against Houston but gave up 18 offensive rebounds (Houston came up with 43% of their missed shots! Unreal!), which doomed the effort.

I think OSU needs to find another guard or two for next year. Pope is solid and it'll be fun to see how high he goes but there's no one else to get excited about.
