I know it's not over, I know that some don't want to spend energy enjoying the "moral victories". Here's how I see it. It's a VERY young team, high character and young women that want to win. There is a strong future.
Lots more details in the stats link at the bottom. Essentially things we already know - the combination of rebounding - turnovers - shots taken - all create the calculus of winning and not. I'm most impressed by the tight competitive games (***). Obviously having a lead and letting another team rally are my least favorites (###).

Excellent post!
I agree with your comment about the future, as long as the transfer portal curse does not hit OSU again.

The Beavs have been competitive all season with only a couple games getting out of hand. Unfortunately, they came out on the wrong end of too many games. Based on this season's results, as mentioned by you above, it's likely the Beavs lose a few of these final four games. It would be great to go on a four game winning streak going into the Pac12 tourney. Those four games, and a run in the Pac12 tournament are the only hope for post season play. It's extremely doubtful, but let's hope it happens. Go Beavs!

I guess you are right that if they won all four remaining games (very unlikely) and won maybe 3 games in the PAC 12 tournament they might get in the NCAA tourney but would certainly receive an NIT bid.
The only other possibility is that somehow they would win 4 games in 4 days (the PAC12 really does not want to give the basement teams any real chance) in the PAC12 tournament. Then, as you know, it is an automatic bid. I have watched the tournament every year and not only does the winner of that last place game have to win their first game but then as I remember they play early in the day the next day! Correct me if I am wrong (as I often am!) but I do not believe any team has won the PAC12 WBB tournament by winning the 4 games in a row.
Go Beavs!

I WISH your optimism was contagious. I need to “catch it.”

You probably would not have to be optimistic very long. Unfortunately they probably will lose to UW Friday and that will probably be the end of the wishing and hoping. Especially is TVO is out the odds are really against them. Injury wise the last few years if it was not for bad luck they would have had no luck at all!
Go Beavs!

Sunday against USC they battled the entire game in a way I haven't seen from this team.

Looking at rebounding-
In the 11 wins OSU won the rebounding battle each game.
In the loses OSU won rebounding 4 times, tied 3 times, and lost 7 times.
In other words, in order to win the Beav's have to win the rebound battle.
