Thanks for sharing that article. I like that Adlee watched the Beavs and saw the development of guards under SR (though some are doubtful of his ability to develop players) and she wanted to be a part of that. I also like her comments on the Freshman. I do believe they are tight nit, and want to build a team together. It doesn't sound like she is going anywhere. I hope they all stick around, because I do believe they can become something special in their Junior and Senior seasons.

You are correct on a couple counts....not going anywhere and becoming something special!

You are correct on a couple counts....not going anywhere and becoming something special! I'll take those 2 counts any day. However, I still think that Rueck can develop players.

There is a lot to take comfort from in this article for those who are worried about players leaving, and/or worried about player development. These are my favorite lines from this article:
“Just seeing how he developed those girls and their overall skills, that was appealing to me,” Blacklock said.
“You kind of get the feeling this is where I’m supposed to be,” Blacklock said.
Blacklock is excited about the future of this class and likes the fact that the players fit together in a coherent unit. “Scott has done such a good job with us freshmen. We’re kind of a new group. Any on-court experience is so good as a player. You realize what works and what doesn’t,”

Worriers are gonna worry. Fear of abandonment runs very deep in some folks.

Worriers are gonna worry. Fear of abandonment runs very deep in some folks. Werebeaver,
I plead guilty to being one of the "worriers". I believe potentially (assuming a point guard magically appears!) this could be an excellent team for the next few years.
However, I felt that way at the end of last season when the "mass exodus" to the transfer portal ensued.
Go Beavs!

Werebeaver: Concern about losing prime players via the portal does not make one a worrier. Nowadays it pretty much makes one a realist.
The fear of abandonment has nothing to do with anything discussed anywhere on this board, ever. Although I'm encouraged that you apparently know something about it, I'm amused you would pick this board to demonstrate it. GO BEAVS!!
