Notes... *Trent Sellers competes and the makeup to be a Friday night starter( bulldog type) *The outfield will be every bit as athletic as last years group, and Gipson mentioned Cedillo, and three frosh( Talts(elite speed) Macias( big bat and strong) and Turley ( complete hitter, great bat speed through the zone) * mentioned Jacob Krieg as a kid to watch...6-5 240 inf and was even on the mound pitching(hit 94 on the gun) not sure how much he will pitch *Team has great work ethic. *Feels Tanner Smith may be the best receiver in the country * The position players are uber athletic A lot of what I wrote is paraphrased...not word for word what Mike or Ryan said.

Guerra's a shortstop. Mitchy Slick tried him at third, but it did not click last year and may not ever click. Third is an underrated position.

This is going to devolve into 'who's on 1st?' real quick.
I've played 3b and I agree. SS has more time to read the ball and get to it, makes a shorter throw most of the time as well.
So.... who will be at 3b? During the presser they hinted that Donkey has been practicing at the hot corner... that would allow us to play another bat at 1b like Kreig!

he hasn't been talked about much, but I wouldn't be shocked.

Maybe this has nothing to do with short or third. Maybe it's about something else like health, work ethic, etc.?
