All these fourth quarter meltdowns illustrate the Beavs have no true leader, hopefully someone on this roster will assert themselves moving forward. I think the biggest issue is the strategy of playing centers in late game scenarios sometimes even two. Last night with a few minutes left with Reagan and Jelena in at a point where the game was very winnable I turned to my friend and said we won't score another field goal in this game. My take; our defense is good enough we need more scorers on the floor more often. There are always long stretches where we often have only 1 or two scorers on the floor and you can't win in this conference like that. By scorer, I mean players who can go and get their own bucket in the half court. This can never be a post because that requires coordinated entry passes. On this team the only players who can create their own bucket at any time are Talia, Timea, AJ, and maybe Bendu but she can't shoot the three well enough to even be guarded out there. |

Where was Gardiner during most of the 4th? Jelena could have used some help. I don't get why she didn't play down the stretch. Timea still gets pretty lost on defense. When she learns the rotations she's going to be incredible...and the best player on the team. |

If anyone can provide a link to streaming the upcoming women's game on Friday (OSU vs WU) I would very much appreciate it.
I live in Spokane and the PAC12 network Washington is only showing the UO vs WSU game on Friday. The OSU vs WU is not being shown at a later time either. Apparently the network is as usual going the "cheap route" and not covering the game at all.
This might be the only game the Beavs win the rest of the year, although I am not holding my breath waiting for that to happen.

These 3 freshmen each played 5 minutes! What would OSU be giving up if they each played 20 minutes? You have no idea because they only played 5 minutes. I could easily pick apart how other team members "failed" in their own 5-minute stretch. OSU is not going to win may games if they continue to be so predictable and one-dimensional on offense. 5 minutes a piece. In a total of 15 minutes they did not get one defensive stop. Rueck isn't going to throw in the towel on the season and give away games in order to give the frosh some playing time no matter what the costs. And if you want to see an unhappy team then try giving people playing time no matter how well they are playing. To some extent I think Rueck did that with Jaz and Greta. Jaz was playing great but Rueck figured Greta was going to be his future and she played anyway. He lost both of them. Play the better player that day and if you want more playing time then play better. , have to call you on your bs statement. Lily came into Q1 with 6:20 remaining. Score was 2-0 OSU. Martha came in with 4:42 remaining and score was 4-4. While Lily was in the game in Q1 the player she was checking did not score. Kiki Rice scored 2 points against Martha with 41 seconds remaining in Q1. But before Martha scored 2 points. At end of Q1 the score was 10-8 UCLA. So you are talking out your backside when you say "they" did not get one defensive stop. Maybe you were watching the men's game vs UCLA and are mixing up the two games. But I think instead you were just throwing some crap against the wall, thinking no one would challenge your made up story. There were many defensive stops while Lily and Martha were on the floor, and only 2-points were scored by a player they were defending, and Martha also scored 2. Get your facts straight. |

Nothing you said or what I've seen in the game contradicts my statement about no stops by any of them, as was also recorded by Stat. Not sure why you feel the need to make this so personal. |
