I’m all ears what is the problem pretty please….. On the slide from 1st to today 10th over the past 6years there have been many different players, different assistants, one head coach. Hint its not the players or assistants. Well, ya it is the players and coach, they come as a packsge.. These players basically can't shoot under game conditions and the coach hasn't found a way to get them to do that. Plus, the coach can't seem to find a way to get them to stop tossing it to the other team. See how easy that is? |

well since the 16-17 season the Pac12 finishes are 1st, 3rd, 3rd, 5th, 5th, 8th, 10th. And just a year ago the coach was given an extension thru like 3o-31. Why an extension? Who is you coach of choice? You must have one to be calling for SR's head. Who do you want? |

Tough loss. I thought OSU played very solid defense in this game. Mitrovic had a great defensive game. Unfortunately, our coaching only knows one way to play offense and that is to force it into the post. UCLA sagged off the perimeter and double/triple team our post players. Sure wish we would mix it up and make teams pay for double/triple teaming the post. Adlee, Lily, and Martha only played 5 minutes. All capable 3-point shooters.

Agree they played a decent game defensively, outside of not doing a great job of controlling the boards. Truthfully, the Beavs were helped out in this game by UCLA’s atrocious 3 pt. shooting, particularly in the first half. Lots of those were open looks, they just couldn’t make a shot. OSU could have easily gone into the break down 15 instead of just 3. |

If anyone can provide a link to streaming the upcoming women's game on Friday (OSU vs WU) I would very much appreciate it.
I live in Spokane and the PAC12 network Washington is only showing the UO vs WSU game on Friday. The OSU vs WU is not being shown at a later time either. Apparently the network is as usual going the "cheap route" and not covering the game at all.
This might be the only game the Beavs win the rest of the year, although I am not holding my breath waiting for that to happen.
Thanks for any assistance.

Bendu can't shoot from beyond 5 feet. That really hurts. It really does hurt when you can't make a team pay for sagging off to double the post. I noticed that when Martha came in, she immediately made UCLA pay for sagging off (hit her 1st shot). Missed her second shot, but Martha did a fine job in 5 minutes of play. Would have liked to see Martha in the game in Q4 when it was obvious UCLA had to press and create turnovers. We need kids who can dribble out of a press on the floor in that situation. |

If the Lily, Adlee and Martha can't get a defensive stop then no, having them in the game wasn't helping things. Between the three of them there was not a single stop. And on how UCLA was blowing open shots I'll disagree. Two of their made threes were off of offensive rebounds where the defense didn't have time to reset. There was one blown coverage that I saw and that was Bessior's three. That didn't happen again. This game the frosh were just having a hard time with their defensive assignments so having them in the game would just be giving up.

TVO is the team leader in shots attempted by a wide margin at 311 and Bendu is 3rd with 181. The problem is that their shooting percentages are 37.3%/30.9% 3pfg and 37.0%/22.2% 3pfg. Hard to win games when the players shooting the most are shooting under 40% from the floor.

TVO is the team leader in shots attempted by a wide margin at 311 and Bendu is 3rd with 181. The problem is that their shooting percentages are 37.3%/30.9% 3pfg and 37.0%/22.2% 3pfg. Hard to win games when the players shooting the most are shooting under 40% from the floor. Worse than that, TvO is shooting 28.3% from the floor in conference games. 26% from 3. BY is actually shooting better in conference at 40.2% and 29.2% from 3. Not exactly on fire. As another poster noted, if you can’t make shots under game conditions, regularly winning games becomes a much tougher proposition. |

Rueck isn't going to throw in the towel on the season and give away games in order to give the frosh some playing time no matter what the costs. And if you want to see an unhappy team then try giving people playing time no matter how well they are playing. To some extent I think Rueck did that with Jaz and Greta. Jaz was playing great but Rueck figured Greta was going to be his future and she played anyway. He lost both of them. Play the better player that day and if you want more playing time then play better. |
