Oregon State beat UCLA 83-79 in overtime in 2021.
Jacquez and Campbell are still starters. Clark was a sub in 2021 and is now a starter. Etienne, Nwuba, and Singleton are still key substitutes.
They replaced Juzang and Riley with two McDonald's All-Americans in Bailey and Bona, respectively.
Basically a better team than the one that went to the Final Four in 2021.
On the other bench, Andela was the only player to play in both 2021 and 2023.
In the last 150 seconds of the 2021 game alone, Andela scored five points, had three rebounds, and a block. His rebounds and free throws gave Oregon State consecutive leads, his block preserved the lead, and his final two free throws iced the game. Roman Silva fouled out, and Andela was basically the only center capable of finishing the game. Andela followed that up with a monster game against Oregon. Andela was largely absent from the stat sheet against Colorado and got hurt against Tennessee and missed the game against Oklahoma State. But Andela returned to have another big game against Loyola-Chicago to help propel Oregon State into the Elite Eight.
