I don't care. Its a starting point that likely won't play out exactly like this. All I care about is how our team develops......oh and I really want to kick furds ass this season! They were super douchy, including their fans, at Goss, last season.

Stanford has a talented roster and they are well coached.
That can be overcome but not until we prove we can hit Quinn Matthews.
He is the burr under our saddle.

Esquer is a good coach. I've been to a lot of games at Goss, and Furd, last season, was about as mouthy, and cocky as I can remember any team. They were not like that under Marquess. I would think Canham has that series circled, and not just because they are favored to win the conference.

A bit Who Cares at this point. Lots of baseball to play, so many variables. Health/consistency of rotation, performance of bullpen, 3 best hitters, bottom of lineup hitters, ability to mfg. runs. Especially in college ball with hot metal bats. That's why we watch right?! Stanford looked really good at the end of last year. I would buy futures in that program. Oregon will find a way to dribble down their leg, they always do. Mental fortitude can't be bought. Also firmly believe that Canham is on the rise. Hard to replace the talent that moved on but he looks like he was a good choice to do it.

Esquer has made baseball fun again for Stanford's players. That has paid dividends for the program. The Byzantine, almost Draconian team rules are history. There is freedom and joy on the Farm.

Hopefully, Oregon State can drag a cloud down to that Valley of Sunshine. The Beavers have not won a series against the Cardinal since 2018 and have not won down on the Farm since 2017. And that is crazy, because Oregon State won every series at Sunken Diamond from 2005-2018. Oregon State went 18-3 down there in that span, including 13 straight at one point. Sunken Diamond was the Beavers' home away from home in that time period, losing on the road at least once to each of the other Pac-12 programs. Let's get back to 2005-2018, winning at Sunken Diamond every year!

Stanford's Klein Field at Sunken Diamond is a difficult trip for any team. The Cardinal seem to elevate their game exponentially when playing at home. Sunken has often been called collegiate baseball's best facility. The permanent seating holds 2,113 chair back seats but there is an additional 2,000 GA seating on the grassy berms on both foul lines. The diamond is 100 years old and has been modified and upgraded several times. Today's version features 335' down both lines and 400' to dead center. The outfield is surrounded by a 10' fence.
Stanford doesn't draw the number of fans Oregon State does nor are their fans as "enthusiastic". Stanford is an impressive ball yard but it doesn't match the demonstrative team support you will find in Goss Stadium. Maybe the Beavs can modify their mental approach to the Stanford Series on the road, whatever that might be. I can't see a good reason for not winning more often in Palo Alto.
