I don't understand the reason rueck got an extension a year ago. In the last six years the team has gone from 3rd twice, to 5th twice. To 8th last year to likely 10th or 11th this year, was Barnes being lazy? Barnes clearly overlooked the downward trend in favor of the past. I think he figured that he could wrap up Rueck long-term and just not have to worry about women's basketball at all. It was sort of the same with Tinkle, but that was based on the one run in the NCAAs. If it works at all, then you're free to focus on football (which I believe is the most important aspect of Barnes' job anyway). But if it doesn't, it will create some major problems down the road, maybe sooner than later.

Yeah, other than Bendu, Colorado’s foot speed/quickness is killing us, and they play very very very physical.

Another entry pass stolen. The Beavers are probably the worst entry pass team in the country. Never seen a team struggle so much with that pass. Just screams no real point guard.

67-48 loss. Really exposes the lack of overall team speed in the program. TVO basically invisible most of the game.

Yeaney can bring the ball up the floor through a press. That's about the extent of her usefulness on the offensive end. Elite defender though.

Not sure what you are basing this on. You said Colorado's perimeter pressure. Yeaney is easily quicker than Martha and is a good ballhandler. She's most likely the second-fastest/quickest player on the court after Sherrod. Yeaney just broke Colorado's pressure with ease a minute ago. They want Yeaney to shoot. Martha gets clean looks for our other players, especially our perimeter players. Go back and watch what happened after Martha entered Q2. Our offense looks completely disjointed with anyone else playing point today.

Our 4 non-frosh guards a collective 2-17, 3 Of whom are scoreless. Just brutal ability to do the most important thing in basketball. To be fair Talia and AJ were given garbage minutes.

That's not what I addressed from your OP, though. I was disagreeing with your statement that Martha was the only one who could deal with Colorado's perimeter pressure.

There is no reason to play any players other than freshmen and sophomores rest of the season. They need as much experience together as we can get them before next season. Thank goodness we have some ball handlers coming in next year.

There are often comments made as to the family feel that oregon state has. Wonder how the family is getting along.

We have lost 6 out of 7, maybe we have 2 or 3 more wins left in the season. Next season largely hangs on if Beers and Gardiner return and if they can recruit a couple of difference making transfers. Regardless of how SR feels he needs to start winning in the portal.

At least Beers was able to stay on the court. Played 33 minutes and had 8 points and 10 rebounds. Mannen played 25 minutes against one of the quickest teams in the Pac-12. She had no points, three fouls, a turnover and one assist. Just saying.
