32 point loss. I was thinking the spread was too big but I guess not.
I was looking forward to this one as a barometer for team the next couple years. Got sick and went to bed early.

It is really hard to justify or defend a 32 point loss. Its even harder to justify or defend a 32 point loss in the 9th year of a program. But I'm sure some body will try.

It's even harder to justify Scott Barnes firing WT today and paying out all that money, just to spend more money hiring the next coach (who's probably gonna have worse results), just to make some people feel better. All for a sport that loses money. Try to make sense of that.

It is really hard to justify or defend a 32 point loss. Its even harder to justify or defend a 32 point loss in the 9th year of a program. But I'm sure some body will try. We didn't lose to them as badly as Texas A&M Corpus Christi did. To be fair to the Islanders Steve Lutz is in his second year with the program. In year one they won their conference and got bounced in the first 4 game vs Texas Southern. |

Not defending anything but take all but 2 players off of any team and see what you would have? Ya, we all know WT recruited them, but you never really know a kids personality until you see them under pressure, and all those were not up to it. |

At the end of the day we are not a good team. For whatever reason.....I dunno. Seems like we have SOME talent....which does lead me to wonder how we can look THIS bad so often. On the flip side I like Tinkle...he's done SOME good things. But clearly not all is well with the program. The worst indictment of all is that I've sort of lost interest and don't even get mad anymore. This is about the most emotional rant I can muster.  |
