This was not a fun game, or a good game, but for those who can only look at the score and see a huge unacceptable loss....
The Beavs lost to Utah by 19 points.
UW lost to the Utes by 25 last week. WSU lost to them by 14 last week. Utah even beat #6 Arizona by 15 earlier in the season.
Utah is not a bad team. What did you expect?
I'll admit I didn't like it and the team needs a LOT of work, but getting a good froth worked up ain't gonna do any good.

Going into this game, conference games only, we led the conference in 3pt %.

What We Know:
Barnes will not fire WT for 2 more years.
It makes ZERO sense to spend $14M on a buyout, because in hiring a new coach, OSU would be paying full price for 2 MBB coaches simultaneously. That's a bad move.
I realize that there are some who do anything to fire WT, fire him now no matter what the cost, but that doesn't make sense for a program that loses money. That's why Barnes is in charge, and you're not.
It's not worth getting emotionally overwrought over something you can't control. Just relax and watch this team grow and improve into next year.
The hypertension and mental anguish isn't worth it.
Good luck.

Sometimes I feel like we are rearranging the deck chairs on the titanic. Here we are hoping the team improves and hoping the players stick around for next year.

30 years of Beaver MBB = Titanic deck furniture.
Is there a school in the Pac12 that cares less about MBB?
Why let it toy with your emotions?

Some are waiting for improvement. We are 21 games in. Ten games left not including the pac12 tourney. Have we seen improvement? I'd say pretty much game after game its the same issue - a stagnant offense.

Good news is I fully expected this one - our offense is shaky at best, and the new Utes coach is a defense first guy. CU on the road is a mixed bag this year - maybe we can get lucky.

Give Utah credit, they're a good team this year and their defense could be the best in the Pac12. Good defensive teams bother the Beavs.

The concept that OSU is bad in MBB only recently still baffles me. People are in denial. Can we go back to the juggernaut years of Jimmy, Eddie, Ritchie, Jay and Craig.....please!

See, we've got someone who thinks all we have to do is fire WT and the MBB will self correct.
"Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.".
Firing WT and bringing in the next 'hot shot' coach who's gonna change the MBB program aint happening with the current state of the OSU MBB program.
Who thinks we're only one coach away from transforming the program into a winner?
I know you're out there.

Who thinks we're only one coach away from transforming the program into a winner? I know you're out there. Sometimes you hire the right coach and things change. Your new coach builds something from the ashes of the previous coach. I am guessing a new head football coach comes in after the previous one quit mid-season and builds a team that somehow goes from winning 1 or 2 games to a team that wins 10 games and has transfers wanting to join the program. Could happen in a basketball program as well. And typically a turn around in basketball can happen quicker with a good coach because even two really good players can lift an entire team when the whole team buys into a scheme and program from a new coach. Not suggesting remove Tinkle, but it is an option with upside.

It's weird, though, to continue to use that as some kind of defense of the current coaching - it's more an indictment of our inability to hire good coaches with offensive philosophies.
