Watching the replay, a great play at 0:45 in 3Q. Jelena calls the play standing at the top of the key, Talia between the circles with the ball. TVO passes to Jelena who holds the ball high while setting a screen for Talia who scrapes her defender as Jelena pivots 180 and finds Talia free at the rim for the layin. Well-executed. I remember the play well because my 8th grade daughter yelled “they just ran Maui!” She’s been running that play since third grade. |

Those fans were right below me in Sec. 4. I especially enjoyed the silencing and dejection of the flock of ducklings that sat directly across from the Beaver bench. They were trying to put on a show before the game, including turning their backs on our team during the introductions. |

Not sure anyone should ever question Mannen playing in key situations again Agreed grayman!....I'm not a Mannen "hater" in fact I've always liked her story and her enthusiasm and the way she plays hard and her hustle. What a great time for her 1st career shot block---it was a great hustle play to get through that screen and get a hand on that ball---really an amazing play considering her 5'5" height! Even though I've always liked Mannen's effort when she plays I did go on record saying that she shouldn't be starting because of the mis-matches it creates on defense and her height hampering her ability to get shots off in traffic----but I guess I better shut-up about that! |
