I'd bet there have been more 60+ yard attempts in the past 5 years than there were in the 95 previous years of the NFL. when Tom Dempsey hit a 63 yarder for the Saints about 50 years ago it was huge news. Now between the NFL and NCAA there are probably a few every weekend. How long was Adley R's at Sherwood? No. |

No. Per the previously attached link, there have been 105 field goals of exactly 60 yards at all levels. Ten of those were in 1970 or before. I didn't count the 61 yarders and so on. |

"probably a few every weekend." 3/weekend over 16 weeks* is 48/year. You'd get there mighty quick. *Previous to this year (even though there were technically 17 weeks of football on the schedule) and after they changed from 14. |
