I know we hate the Ducks and all, rightly so, but if you can’t admit that Herbert is a great talent, you either don’t understand the game or you’re lying to yourself. And others. He's an above-average QB now, has the potential to be a great one. He's not great yet. Great ones win playoff games, especially when they're spotted 27 points. Josh Allen had three playoff wins and had taken his team to the AFC championship in three seasons. Mahomes had six playoff wins, a Super Bowl win and a Super Bowl loss in his first three seasons. That's what great ones do. By all accounts, he's a great kid, and that counts for a lot too. But he's still a Duck and open to be poked fun at. I don’t disagree. If you read carefully you’ll see that I said he’s a great talent. Which he is. Far to early to see how that evolves. |

How quaint. With this loss, Herbert is also an official member of the Chokers. The greedy Spanos family ditched San Diego for greener bank accounts. With their move came clemency for this life long fan. No more soul crushing defeats, mind boggling letdowns, or out and out depression. Now a free fan, I can laugh at the train wreck that is the Los Angeles Chokers. Enjoy your money Herbert, because you will never win with this franchise. They are the comedy that never fails to fail. Right there with ya, Wally. Had this been the SD Chargers....I'd STILL be depressed. And pissed. Herbert is a big PHYSICAL talent, but he will NEVER progress to his potential under that (mis)organization. |
