This hasn't been posted yet, so here it is...OSU scored 195.450 in Vegas on Friday to start the season. Good enough to beat Rutgers but took losses to Georgia and Stanford. Jade Carey had a 9.875 on vault, 9.825 on bars, 9.800 on beam and a 9.825 on floor. I did not see the meet, so I can't say for sure if the scores were all that accurate or not but draw your own conclusions...seems pretty low. Not saying Carey never takes an extra hop on landing or wobble or whatever, but all four events? Seems unlikely to me. I don't think it will matter much moving forward, but it's amazing how many 9.900s or better are passed out by judges in certain other conferences.

Scores may have been a bit low, but not egregious. Beavs need to figure bars out, and they will. That score really killed their team score.
These early meets really don't matter too much with respect to the regional qualifying score. There will be opportunities to replace this team score with other meets. The one thing about gymnastics that I would suggest is not take the scores too seriously. They can range greatly from meet to meet as well as venue to venue if you know what I mean. I am sure the Beavs get the benefit of the doubt in Gil.

That gives us something to look forward to seeing for the next meet.

Hope it gets better quickly.
