Assuming the stat sheet is correct, Donovyn matched Benson’s total in points (28) as South Medford defeated Benson 71-28. Benson only lost to La Jolla by 9 and has multiple future division 1 players, so it was a pretty shocking result. My thoughts exactly, it doesn't make sense to me,( the novice BB mind) , A beats B, B beats C, C beats A, or something like that. I've heard it is all about matchups, some teams just match up well and surprise otherwise unbeatable teams. Beaverton just fell to La Jolla 65-42. The Beaverton game was the worst I've seen South Medford play in the short time I've followed them. They lost by 8 and then held Benson to 5 points in the 2nd half ?! Maybe a game you want to watch to appreciate Donovyn and her team, they had 19 steals, a ton of breakaways , layups. |
