There’s a very high level high school basketball tournament. Kennedie and Donovyn will be playing in it, as will a lot of other future Pac-12 players such as Juju Watkins, Jada Williams, Breya Cunningham, and Sofia Bell. Thanks beaverwbb fan for the heads-up, will try to catch them live streaming, first game is at noon today, will use it as a test to see if the stream actually works. Hunter and Kennedie are in the Platinum Bracket, 1:30 and 6:30 respectively.

This looks like a pretty impressive tourney -- major organizational achievement getting this many h.s. teams in the same place at the same time....
If anyone is following this tourney and has info to post in its regard, I would be interested in learning about results, etc...- and probably a few others here would be as well....

La Jolla ranked 5th in the nation was impressive, Cunningham is 6'4" FYI. Donovyn on the other hand played Lake Ridge and won 79-33, she looked good, no stats that I can find yet. Her South Medford team is well coached IMO, they pass really well, move the ball rapidly, often with no dribbling between. They are aggressive on defense, full court a lot, get their hands on lots of balls, etc. I like the experience she is getting this year.
Her game was not streamed on Youtube like the others in that tournament, I saw in on NFHS network.

Just spotted Talia, Adlee, Lily, and maybe 3 more , front row. Nice job supporting our recruit ladies ! Good game, very competitive as expected, Donovyn doing her thing, South Medford defense great again. Halftime, South Medford up 26-20. It's a little hard to root against the Beavers, but ...

Yeah, I thought so too, need to get some new eyes to be able to see them better. Donovyn tried to take a charge , I believe, went down hard right at the feet of the OSU WBB crew. Looks like Rueck's wife and Coach Ely also in the 2nd row. |

Beaverton won. It seemed to me that they, on average had better talent. They got to the rim too easily and seemed to shoot the ball better. South Medford seemed to just be focused on trying to get layups, but didn't look very skilled doing it. Donovyn is a team player, for sure; she was good about sharing the ball (maybe too good in this game).

Assuming the stat sheet is correct, Donovyn matched Benson’s total in points (28) as South Medford defeated Benson 71-28.
Benson only lost to La Jolla by 9 and has multiple future division 1 players, so it was a pretty shocking result.
