Down 8 with 5 mins to go, wasn’t feeling optimistic. Then they finish with a 19-6 run. Not too shabby. Good couple of games to build upon.
Enjoyed ASU getting destroyed by the Dons in SF. Their ranking was brief.

Akanno didn't play in the second half. Did he get hurt? Kress had his best game yet. He's getting better as are all the freshmen. Good finish to a mostly ugly game basically sums it up.

actually theyre shooting 42% overall. But they’re 0-9 from 3. So they’re shooting over 50% from regular fg range. So yeah much better than us. [br So making half of your layups is good? Asking for a friend. We won. Suck it. you really are a POS. I called you out on you lack of knowledge on the game stats and you come up with suck it? I enjoy this team, they play hard and never quit. And I’m not sure Tinkle is the answer but I also am not part of the he sucks crowd. I actually think he’s doing a decent job this year with a very young team. All you ever do is tell people why they’re wrong and you are the all knowing. You’re an effin joke. I haven’t missed more then 3-4 games a year for 25 years since I could buy my own season tickets, but I have been going to games since I was born. I suffered the Jay John years, Ritchie McKay and Craig Robinson. Went to basketball camp through the Ralph Miller years and Jimmy Anderson years. I love the Beavers and always root for them no matter what. So yeah, you can sit behind your keyboard and lord over your own domaine. But screw you and your attitude about everything you think you know about me and Oregon State. And in your really mature and thoughtful words, you SUCK IT!!

Trying to recall the stall ball game in the 80s (pre shot clock). Was it Stanford? Held us to I think 8 pts. in the first half...? Hey look we're up to 10 now! You’re right. Without looking it up I think it was IIRC the 81-82 season ranked #1 vs Stanford and we won 18-16. I believe I listened to it on the radio and it was painful.

Akanno spent the first half’s under-8 timeout puking into the trash bin at the end of the bench and didn’t return. Wright, who looks like a contributor in his limited time so far, never even made it to Gill because he was ill. As per Daschel, other guys must have been playing sick. I give this group credit for pulling out a win tonight, no matter how ugly. A similar result would have been welcomed a year ago. Yes, that was the worst season in school history, but I’m looking for progress rather than championships this season and I’m seeing it - particularly in the toughness and determination department.

I'm going to say this about Rataj, that was great D and a clean block on that last second layin after we squandered an opportunity at the end of the half. I'll go not that far out on a limb and say he's going to be a good player for us if he sticks around. I kept thinking he sort of reminds me of a freshman AC Green more than just about any other guy Ive seen come through since. Thought it kind of stupid then I looked at their stats so far, in about 2/3rds of the average minutes he's averaging about 2/3rds the stats of AC's freshman year. It's early and he seems to be coming on, so maybe? I like Rataj a lot, but he was frustrating the hell out of me last night. He was too often in the wrong position on D, but then the next time down he’d make a great play on D. And he’s gotta stop with the bad fouls. But he’s a freshman and have to take the bad with the good at this point.

Exactly. Anyone actually believe that last year’s team would have pulled this win out? Was a very frustrating game to watch, but for me this year is about finding positives that can be part of a foundation for future success. Still seeing enough of those to make me hopeful. Last night it was Krass. Not gonna get overly excited as this game was against a lesser quality team, but he stepped up and did what was needed to help his team win. Love his free throw shooting down the stretch.

The suck it comment shouldn’t have been directed at you. My bad. My point was directed a different poster that was stating they were scoring all of their points off of layups from their “motion offense”. They were not exactly lighting us up on the scoreboard and nobody really runs a 5 man motion offense anymore. The game has changed. Oh, and I also attend about 90% of the games and have been going to games since 1988. Had a work party last night, so I couldn’t go. So, my apologies to you. Thanks for supporting the team.

An ugly win is still a win, way to go Beavs! I give credit to the beaver players, they played hard and a couple of good individual efforts down the stretch (Krass!) Won it! Other than recruiting that win had nothing to do with the coaches though. That's generally how it works. He just gets full credit for every loss.
