Must be nice to be team SEC. Half the conference starts the season ranked in the top 10. Unless they lose a bunch of games, that conference is basically assured the most national seeds, most host sites, most of everything.
Apparently SEC "dominance" is just baked into the cake now. Is it any wonder they do well in the post season when basically everything is tilted in their favor?

Sure, it's always fun to beat the teacher's pet. I'd still prefer a more equitable system. Way too much hype and opinion is driving the bus. Just for instance on this list - #2 Florida. The Gators were barely above .500 for the last month of the season last year, and went 2nQ in their own regional losing their last game to South Alabama badly, 1-19. Yeah, #2 makes sense? Top 25 is fun and all, but even late in the season it is still mostly just a beauty contest. It will never be possible to have enough games between all the teams to truly know which conference is better than the next. Especially when the "chosen conference" rarely leaves it's home stadiums. I would be just fine if there wasn't any top 25 lists that meant anything until at least conference play begins.

Agreed....a good laugh. The main thing I got out of the poll was a bit more excitement about seeing the OSU - UCSB game on Feb. 20, 2023 in Surprise. It's not every year that a game in Surprise involves a game against a team that is ranked higher than the Beavs. Plus, the anticipation of the PAC-12 season, and how the Beavs do against Stanford / UCLA / Ducks...all 3 of whom are ranked ahead of Beavs.

Pretty convincingly? Yet they make it to the top 20 and we're squeezing in the top 30? Go figure. Guess it all comes down to power. No respect for pitching or fielding.

Oregon State did sweep Oregon in 2022: 4-2 and 2-0 in Eugene and 5-1, 8-7, and 4-0 in Corvallis.
