Raegan Beers needs to start and play many more minutes. Looking forward to seeing what Timea will bring. Adlee needs more minutes--Adlee gets her shot off quickly and of all the freshmen has the best stroke from 3.

LSU's athletic advantage caused almost all of OSU's problems. I don't know how many steals they had, but there were more than a couple times where they just took the ball away and cruised in for layups. The Tigers literally ran by the Beavers for the whole game. This was at least as bad and Stanford running the laps past OSU a year or two ago.

Lsu is ranked 5th nationally, they are a very good team. The new landscape in college sports has changed and is only going to keep changing. The schools with deep pockets are going to be able to buy the best players. The free for all portal system is going to make it even worse.

Yeah, and it looks like 11 LSU steals.

32 ppg of scoring transferred out after last season, we have replaced it with 12 ppg of scoring from the incoming transfers. Not sure what SRs attitude is towards the portal, but like it or not he needs to recruit it better if he wants the program to be nationally relevant again.

Btw, The portal is just madness nationally on the football side of things. They have to change something at some point. I really think you could build a complete team from the portal and never touch the new high school recruit again and probably do rather well. That way you would know exactly what your getting.

LSU FT average is 68%, and in this game they hit 92%. That's the kind of game it was for them and for OSU.
For me this game was two halves of shooting. The middle two quarters and the first and last quarter.
Middle two quarters LSU shot 24/41 for 59%, and 3/8 from the 3 for 38%.
First and last quarter they shot 12/38 for 32%, and 1/13 from the 3 for 7%.
So yes, OSU is able to defend LSU and their "athletic advantage". They just need to do it the whole game.
And then also rebounds were a problem with LSU at 51 and OSU at 30.
But with Timea in the game and Mit playing 34 minutes instead of 24 minutes that problem may also go away.
And on the portal, if players don't go into the portal then OSU will do fine. It's the 4 players going into the portal that has been a problem.
OSU has had other bad games and come back to great success. One bad game does not make a bad season.

Considering the statistics, I don't put much stock in anything that happened after the half as up by 26 and the game all but over LSU naturally took their foot off the gas.

OSU made LSU look like world beaters. I'm writing off LSU game if OSU coaching staff starts Raegan Beers from the next game. This is the starting lineup I hope to see (assuming Timea unavailable):
TvO Bendu Beers Mitrovic Martha
1st off the bench
AJ Adlee

This team has a 7-4 record. I guess that's positive but look a little deeper and to me its not pretty. We have won 7 games against teams that are currently 18-40. Lost to teams that are 40-5. The rest of the way we are not likely to play teams like prairie view, Hawaii, Seattle u, etc...haven't looked good against power 5 teams except for maybe oregon. Something needs to change quickly or its going to get ugly.

Shalexxus has been pretty average/bad except for the Iowa game, which is looking more and more like an anomaly of a game for her. Adlee has been shooting it pretty well, so maybe more minutes for her. Hopefully Timea is ready to go soon. We’re going to need her to be as advertised to finish in the top-6 of the Pac-12.

The LSU starters were in the game until the last minute. There was no taking the foot off the gas until then.
