I see today I’m O- live he decommitted from WSU and now has additional offers from Washington and Mich State. It’s a bit frustrating given our need at QB and the great QB coaching we have. Anyone know why we have not pursued this guy? Not complaining just curious.

I was thinking it's probably because we already got the QB that we wanted in 2023. But I don't really know.

It'll be interesting to see if Nolan's decision to transfer changes anything in regards of recruiting. I suspect that decision, assuming it was his alone and not "suggested" by the coaching staff, has increased their interest in picking up someone from the transfer portal. I see that OSU is listed on being on Leavitt's Schools of Interest list on 247Sports, so I suspect there was contact early on. As it stands, Chiles has a higher composite rating, I suspect he's their high school scholarship guy but they'll likely keep their eyes open for a walkon or an experienced transfer player. |

Chiles is a top 15 quarterback in the country and won't be 18 until he has been in school a month at osu. Lots of big time offers. Higher rated than Dorman who we thought was going to be a beaver and chose Arizona. Chiles is the real deal...a dual threat QB. I think he will impress fans as soon as this Spring...
Portal kids are always in play at every school. Osu only has three qb's on scholarship even with Chiles. Osu definitely looking.

I'm glad we didn't recruit the guy. Because today we'd be in the same boat WSU is. Michigan State has a ton of NIL money.
