Saturday the Beavs play UNR in Hawaii, before their challenging matchup Sunday against #10 LSU.
UNR is height-challenged with only 2 players > 6 feet (and one of them hasn't played since Nov. 20).
UNR's Megan Ormiston is veteran 6'3" grad student. She plays 23 minutes per game and averages 9 pts / 5 rb.
Hopefully both Mitrovic and Beers continue to progress against Nevada Reno and then carry that the next day into the LSU matchup. LSU is ranked 10 / 11. For comparison, Iowa is currently ranked 11/12 (Beaver 14 point loss to Iowa about 2-1/2 weeks ago).

I have wondered how/why Mulkey was invited. We will see ...
Games are scheduled for (Pacific Time)
Sat 6pm vs. Nevada
Sun 8pm vs. LSU
Looks like both are supposed to be live streamed. Wonder who might be doing the radio work with Football in Vegas.

According to the LSU WBB website the live stream for their 1st game vs Montana State will be our OSU live stream. So should be able to watch the LSU game after our OSU vs Nevada game.

I know that LSU football has this thing where they only wear white, home and away. I hope their basketball team isn’t pulling that same stunt.

LSU will most likely handle the Beavs this evening. But it's fortunate to have another December game against a top opponent. It will be interesting to see what kind of defensive strategy LSU uses against TVO, now that she has announced to the World that she is capable of such a phenomenal performance. I imagine that at least some of the LSU squad (and Mulkey) was there to see portions of it. |
