If you thought the overall record was bad the pac12 record is 53-95 35.8% with ONE winning league season. Oregon State went 14-10 in Pac-12 play in 2020-21. 6-3 against teams from all other conferences. Oregon State also went to the Tournament at 10-10 in 2016. And those represent the three best conference seasons (and arguably the three best seasons) in the past 31 years. A careful review of context show your points to be pointless. It does not matter how many strokes over par I am, I have still won six holes to your two. Talk about asterisks all that you want. You still owe me $400.00. Get 'em, wilky! |

Yes, I want Oregon State to win every single game and free tickets and transportation to every game and free concessions. And I want the alumni to have more money than God and to pump in billions into Oregon State University and Beaver athletics. You can s*#t in one hand and hope in the other. Let me know, which one fills up first. Actually, don't. I know the answer already. I want more than I saw in the last two games. I don't know anyone that is super enthusiastic about those two games. But the cure cannot be worse than the disease. And with the current AD, any "cure" that does not include a massive infusion of cash into the system would probably be akin to drinking bleach to try and cure a cold. Silly and weak response. I also expected better here. I guess the real question is what does better look like. For some here, the Elite Eight run was beyond our wildest dreams. For others here, it was marred because Tinkle was coach. So how can anyone appease this sort of negativism? Even our best season in many, many years wasn’t enough. |

What I see on these boards is people just like to bitch about things. Of course, in their minds, Perfection is acceptable, anything less and there will be complaints packaged as 'settling for mediocrity' and ignoring anything positive about the coach. WT isn't perfect and the OSU MBB HC job isn't easy. But WT has 5 winning seasons, a Pac12 tournament title and 2 NCAA appearances. In many MBB schools, making it to the NCAA March Madness is the only thing that matters. The complainers only want to talk about the 2 bad seasons. They don't believe in balanced discussion.

Riley had a three- and five-win season that people blah blah blahed themselves to death over. Actually, Riley had a three-win season and three five-win seasons. And he had to be immediately fired, so we could hire GAG. Progress! Or something. Tinkle is killing Riley. Only one five-win season. Riley had those three terrible five-win seasons. Or is math lying? I can never really tell. Is it legitimate? It's as legitimate as most math. Give people enough numbers, and you can convince the smartest among us that pigs fly and the sky is actually purple. |
