Found this article that ranks the P12 coaches. Thought it might be fun to do a post mortem. I'll give each one a letter grade at the end.

1) Lincoln Riley (1y) - Brought in some mercs and revived USC to an 11-2 record and a Cotton bowl matchup. That said they are definitely unhappy with the championship loss and missing the cfp. Guess they will just have to hire a new team and try again next year. (A)
2) Kyle Wittingham (16y) - 10-3 conference champions. 4th straight year in the championship game and a rose bowl birth. What can I say, Whit is a coach who makes a program worth imitation. (A+).
3) Chip Kelly (5y) - started hot crushing a schedule softer than pillows. Ended 9-3 with a Sunbowl birth. They are losing their QB and a pile of talent, he may have trouble holding on to see the Big Shoe/House/Corn or whatever the Big Ten stadiums are called. Doing less with more this year might be his peak at UCLA. (B)
4) David Shaw (13y) - arguably his third losing season in a row if you don't count COVID. Team was hapless, transfers are flowing, shaw resigned like a gentleman going down with the ship. (F)
Stanford currently searching for it's 32nd coach.
5) Herm Edwards (5y) - Mired in scandal and disappointing results Herm was chucked into the Dunes week 3. ASU managed 2 more wins without him to finish 3-9 and tenth in the conference. (F-).
Their 25th coach will be Oregon Offensive coordinator and ASU alum Kenny Dillingham.
6) Kalen Deboar (1y) - 10-2 with head scratchers to UCLA and ASU. Despite what feels like a bit of a let down this team was awfully close to 12-0. I'm honestly worried what he will do with a program that looked like it might flounder. They have a matchup in Texas with UT. (A+)
7) Jonathon Smith (5y) - Well that ranking was hilarious. Improvement keeps coming. With a nice matchup in the bowl game Niner has a pretty solid shot to having a 500 record by week 6 next year. One of the biggest turnarounds of a program in college football. His coaching move to promote Bray turned out to be huge. He is also slowly becoming less of.a degenerate gambler with fewer mind breaking choices each year. (A+)
8) Dan Lanning (1y) - Preseason I thought they would be in the 6-8 win range and despite an absolute slaughter week one they finished 9-3 with a Holiday Bowl matchup with UNC. Hard to say off this first year but I am pretty confident he is not a bust despite the fans whining. (B+)
9) Justin Wilcox (6y) - 2nd losing season in a row and a pretty bad trend. Not sure how this guy has a job except he's an alum and Cal just doesn't care that much. 4-8 and 9th place. (D)
10) Jake Dickert (1y) - 7-5 with a 7th place finish. They did better than I thought and had some nice wins but mostly seemed to lack offensive identity and couldn't bounce back from some defensive injuries. Give it a few years and some inspired recruiting and he might have them contending. (C+).
They have a very tough matchup with FSU in the LA bowl.
11) Jedd Fisch (2y) - 5-7 and 8th place sounds bad but that's a huge improvement over 1-11 and 2th Arizona thought so too and he was awarded an extension. Kevin Sumlin didn't Anderpants them but it was a rough place to start from. (B+)
12) Karl Dorrell (3y) - yikes. Fired in week 5. I'm not gonna review it but they were bad. (F)
As of today Deon 'Primetime' Sanders will be their 28th head coach. Coming from Jackson State he has a 27-5 record and massive star power and recruiting chops. Be an interesting ride to say the least.
