Anyone heard whether our Olympic Gold medalist / 2022 World Champion will be competing with her teammates Saturday? I'd assume so unless there is info to the contrary.  |

Jade at the orange and black meet

Doesn't seem like a lot of folks are as excited as I am that we have a World Champion and Olympic Gold Medalist competing for the Orange and Black. And that's fine, not everyone is into every sport. IIRC think Joey Hansen was our next most recent OSU gold medalist - in rowing at the 2004 Athens Olympics and probably only 1 in 10,000 OSU fans would recognize his name.
But Jade is someone each and every OSU fan can be proud of. She's just as tough as they come as a competitor - at the highest level. I would put her on the same level as:
Les Gutches
Jess Lewis
Dick Fosbury
Mel Counts
Jacoby Ellsbury
Michael Conforto
And she's HERE - NOW. Let's make sure we appreciate her.
