If Michigan loses to Purdue in the Big Ten title game tonight, Purdue would play in the Rose Bowl. Assuming that Michigan stays in the top four and Ohio State moves into the top four, it still could mean Penn State gets the Cotton Bowl berth if it winds up ranked higher than both USC and UW. Penn State is currently ranked No. 8 but stands to move up while USC will clearly move down. The question for both is how many spots? If Michigan wins and Ohio States gets in as well, then Penn State goes to the Rose Bowl. USC still gets in over Tennessee for sure....doesn't matter No, there is only one slot in the Cotton Bowl that will be availabe to either USC or UW. But it will be filled with the team that has the highest ranking that does not land another New Years 6 berth. No. 7 Tennessee is getting projected mostly to the Orange Bowl, so it won't be available if that happens. It would be either TCU if it does drop out of the top four or Penn State if it isn't either USC or Washington

TCU will still be in. If they would have gotten crushed, maybe they would be out, but an OT 3 pt loss will not knock them out. And they should stay at #3. No way an Ohio State team that didn't even play for a championship, and lost a home game by 22 points, should jump them. I think the Big 12 borrowed some of our refs to spot the ball in the OT. That was terrible and they had the world's largest video screen to prove it. Then TCU's OC went brain-dead. How do you not sneak at least once? I don’t know much about TCU, but you could hold the game in Timbuktu and Ohio State fans will fill the venue. I think that matters, even though it shouldn’t.

Announcers at the SEC Championship playing up the Alabama to the CFP angle and sowing the seeds of doubt about TCU.

Looks like Fresneck would be our rematch if we land in the LA Bowl after they beat the Donks in the Mtn West championship this afternoon.

If Michigan wins and Ohio States gets in as well, then Penn State goes to the Rose Bowl. USC still gets in over Tennessee for sure....doesn't matter Tennessee would have been a concern, if LSU won. How Tennessee matters now is largely irrelevant for Pac-12 bowl purposes. The important rankings for Pac-12 bowl purposes are Penn State and TCU. If TCU falls out of the CFP but stays ahead of USC, TCU gets the Cotton Bowl. And USC plays in the Alamo. And Washington probably plays in the Alamo Bowl. And you are looking at potential nightmare scenarios. If USC passes TCU, which seems extremely unlikely, or TCU plays in the CFP, no worries. If Purdue beats Michigan, Purdue eats up the Rose Bowl. At that point, it is Penn State v. USC for the Cotton Bowl. Whoever finishes higher takes the spot. If it's Penn State, potential nightmare scenarios. If it's USC, no worries. TLDR version: Alabama finishing ahead of TCU finishing ahead of USC is bad. Penn State finishing ahead of USC is bad, if Purdue wins.

The Perdue coaches reaction to bad calls is hilarious. Now 2 for 2 in challenges. I'm a Perdue fan tonight!

Well, well, well. Now we have an extensive halftime interview with Saban during the Big Ten title game. Why would they bother with Saban? They are absolutely pushing the Alabama to the CFP agenda. I'm getting more and more convinced that TCU is going to get messed over Sunday.
