He's been trending downward the past 3-4 years. A little too smug sometimes, but generally a decent guy who will find an NFL coordinator job in a heartbeat, if he wants one.

Yes , he has an arrogant persona about him. But the guy put together physical successful teams at times over his tenure at a school that does not compromise academic standards for athletics. His teams beat hole here and there and was always afraid to play his squads. |

Didn’t see that one coming. 3-9 will do that to ya…… End of an era. He came to Stanford from USD with Jim Harbaugh in 2007. Was elevated to HC in 2011 when Harbaugh left for the NFL. In 12 seasons won 3 conference championships, 2 Rose Bowls (2-1). 5-3 in bowls altogether. 96-54 overall 64% 65-40 in conference 62% Winningest coach (by total wins) in Stanford history. And he's still relatively young - just turned 50 in July. |

Less about the investigation, more about the alleged rapist being a football player. |
