Gonna will be a tall order (pun intended) for Beavers to come back a day after giving Duke all they could ask for and play another quality opponent from a P6 school. Florida might not quite have the overall height of Duke, but they have plenty of size. Colin Castleton at 6-11 is pretty skilled and their leading scorer. I didn’t see the Xavier game, but they held Castleton down (still had a double double though) with their size. Less skilled than Castleton, CJ Felder (6-7, 240) and Jason Jitoboh (6-11, 300), off the bench, will test the Beavers frontline depth. FL’s other 3 starters are all transfers and seem to be still trying to gel. I don’t know if Gators have had issues with D all year or if Xavier just got incredibly hot, but Musketeers shot 50% from 3 and 57% overall. Still despite that and being out rebounded by 4, Florida only lost by 7.
I think if Taylor and Rataj can up their games today, Beavers could pull out a victory. Rataj had a pretty empty game against Duke. According to ESPN box he played 12 minutes with just 2 missed shots to show for it. Need him to be more active. Think Beavs will need Taylor in order to win this one. Not sure we can expect another game in 50s. Would love to see WT run a few set plays for him early to get him good looks rather than him always having to create his own.

The prices on Ticketmaster are crazy - $60/seat before fees for the lower endzone. $75 for lower bowl sideline. This is college basketball!
EDIT: Stubhub has much better deals thankfully.

Beavs played much better the latter part of the half. Nice to see Bilodeau hunt his own shot a couple times. Ibekwe had some good moments, but needs some refinement.
But the biggest story for me is the announcers trying to push “ref cam” on the viewers. It’s horrible. Announcers talking about it like it’s a revolution in basketball viewing. Unless the ref is motionless, it’s worthless. I get using these early season tournaments to try new things, but I can only hope that this is one that doesn’t stick.
