You said the coach doesn't deserve a pass for putting together a bad roster. So you're really saying the players are bad, since they make up the roster. More concisely, bad roster = bad players. Thanks for clearing that up for the rest of us. And why should players ever get a pass for bad performances? Don't the players have the most control over how they perform? You're reading what you want to read. I didn't say they'd get a pass for bad performances. And, maybe I need to spell it out better for some of you --- I give the players a pass because there are so many new ones that they are still learning how to play as a team. They may be every bit as bad as you want them to be [Re: PSU], but it's too early to tell. I do hold the coach accountable because he let a few bad apples spoil the Elite-8 team and create the dramatic turnover in personnel. Was at the game, at the end of the day it is about making shots. Most of the looks we got were goods, just did not make them and PSU did. This included good point blank shots that we did not make or any of the three pointers - we were in a position to win, but guys just missed good looks.
