So by my count the only undefeated PAC teams are #8 UCLA, #14 Arizona, and OSU. Wouldn't have guessed that pre-season.

If this were horse racing, you could have boxed Arizona and UCLA and probably cleaned up. The Pac-12 is 26-14 against Division 1 competition. Not a great start. Oregon State may need to keep winning in nonconference play, if the Beavers want this to be a decent season. |

I believe they have 12 or 13 players averaging double digit minutes Don’t think any of their players are averaging close to 30 mpg. |

They didn’t play so many players last year. They had 6 players with 20+ minutes including a player with 30+ mpg and another that had about 28 mpg — but of them have graduated. They don’t have a new coach. He’s been at Sam Houston for 10+ years. Some of it might be he’s giving a lot of guys PT in the easier games. But 10 guys played against Utah — all over 10 minutes. And played 11 against OK, 9 getting double digit minutes. Can’t argue with the success so far this season. They play Nevada and OK St , so we’ll see if they can keep it up.
Meanwhile, Colorado trounces Texas A&M today by a lot.

It's only been one week or so. The season isn't set. Seems to me just 2 seasons ago 4 of the final 16 were from the Pac, I'm not sure the season actually started that well. It's way way too early to be drawing conclusions on the strength of the various conferences, or even how the Pac 12 will pan out.

Still a lot to clean up, but great win and they are gonna be tough. I understand why some media were sleeping on them given the players they lost, but Illini fans were pretty sure the team was reloading and not rebuilding. |
