Loyola-Chicago v. Tulsa in Conway, South Carolina.
The Myrtle Beach Invitational has been interesting so far with Massachusetts beating Colorado in the opener. Murray State appears on its way to knocking off Texas A&M, as well. Murray State up nine with 13 seconds left. Boise State and Charlotte play the next game, and Loyola-Chicago and Tulsa play the nightcap. Colorado and Texas A&M in the first Consolation Game tomorrow could be interesting, as well.

Tulsa ended up winning 85-66. Not sure if Loyola are any good this year but I think that Tulsa win will look decent later in the season (as in at the very least not a Q4 win). Tulsa and Loyola are both now 2-1.

Interesting as 3 of the 8 teams in this tournament are opponents for OSU this season. Tulas, T A&M and Colorado. |

Tulsa and Loyola are both now 2-1. Looking back at the 2021 roster: Braden Norris started against Oregon State and was the only Rambler to play all 40 minutes. Norris started against Tulsa, as well. Marquise Kennedy was Illinois-Chicago's sixth man in 2021, playing half the game, and still is the Ramblers' sixth man, playing half the game. Jacob Hutson was Illinois-Chicago's backup center in 2021 and still is Illinois-Chicago's backup center. Tom Welch played in the final 24 seconds as a rebounder/defensive specialist in 2021. Welch started against Tulsa. The other six guys are new in the last 20 months. |

Charlotte is undefeated, and Tulsa's only loss is to Oregon State. |

Tulsa and Loyola are both now 2-1. I recall that L-C was a huge favorite, something along the lines of the final margin (reversed). So at least Vegas thought L-C was pretty good prior to the game. Edit - I’m only finding around an 8 point spread now, so I must be misremembering. In any case, a good win for Tulsa. |
